Introduction

The Okta management screen, which previously only supported English, is now also available in Japanese. This time, I will introduce the setting procedure for Japanese notation and the parts that are easier to understand now that it is in Japanese!

*This feature will be released in July 2023 and can be applied with Version 2023.07.0.

Procedure for setting Japanese notation

1. From Settings > Features on the Okta management screen, enable "Admin Console Japanese translations" displayed in the Early Access list.

*As of September 2023, this feature is an Early Access feature, so it is necessary to enable the feature in your Okta tenant.

2. Set the language setting to "Japanese" on the End-user Dashboard of the administrator account that you want to display in Japanese.

3. Update your browser

This is easy to understand!

After actually using the management screen displayed in Japanese, I would like to introduce the parts that I found particularly easy to understand.

Description of each setting

Explanations for each setting are now written in Japanese, making it easier to understand the overview of each setting.

Viewing various reports

Okta has a function that allows you to output various data such as "Okta usage status" and "password health" as a report in a CSV file.

When the names of the reports were in English, it was difficult to understand what kind of reports could be output. By using Japanese notation, you can now understand what kind of report it is at a glance.

Parts that do not support Japanese notation

At this time, some parts are not written in Japanese. For example, Okta Workflows, System Log (log content), Okta Identity Governance, etc. will remain in English.
