New GitHub Copilot Enterprise release

GitHub Copilot currently has a business plan (GitHub Copilot Business) and a personal plan (GitHub Copilot Individual). These features include GitHub Copilot's basic functionality, chat functionality, and command line functionality.
GitHub aims to improve development efficiency by using GitHub Copilot throughout the development lifecycle, not just the coding part. By using GitHub Enterprise, this plan is equipped with many features that will allow you to further improve development efficiency and security.

GitHub Advanced Security equipped with AI (Copilot) power

GitHub currently has an application security feature called GitHub Advanced Security. The main functions are the detection of vulnerabilities in code (Code scanning (SAST function)) and the detection of secrets (Secret scanning (DAST function)), but by incorporating AI power into these functions, "Code scanning autofix" has been introduced to make it easier to fix security risks. By using Code scanning autofix, AI will fix security risks in the source code detected by Code scanning (SAST function).

In addition, Secret scanning is also equipped with AI power, and in addition to detecting GitHub Secret scanning partner secrets, it is now also possible to detect general-purpose passwords such as those required for DB access.

When you write an issue for a project in the repository on GitHub and run Copilot workspace, Copilot analyzes the current situation and identifies improvement plans, presents the steps necessary for improvement, and then Copilot modifies the code. This feature is a feature and vision under development as GitHub Next, so the details are unknown, but there is no doubt that new GitHub Copilot features will appear in GitHub Universe in 2024 and 2025!
