Macnica (Head office: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter referred to as Macnica) announced today that it has provided its security operations automation platform, "Swimlane," to S&J Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Nobuo Miwa; hereinafter referred to as S&J). As a result, S&J has been able to eliminate the dependency on individuals in security operations, improving work efficiency, the speed of Playbook ^* development, and operational quality.

■ Background of introduction
S&J is a cybersecurity company that operates under a vendor-free policy and not only provides products but also a full range of services from consulting to security monitoring and incident response.
The company's SOC (security operations center) services are highly rated for their ability to monitor any product installed and for providing services using the optimal products to meet customer needs, resulting in an increasing number of customers each year. However, due to the different operations required for each customer, the company faced challenges such as increased workloads and complex, highly personalized management and maintenance. While SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response) was an example of a system designed to reduce operational burden, each staff member had developed their own system using Python or C++ for each project, which resulted in a significant increase in management and maintenance workloads. Previously, the company was able to handle such manual operations, but as the organization expanded, operations became more complex.
