(headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Tsujita Yasunori) and Fuyo Auto Lease Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Nishizawa Keiji; hereinafter "Sompo Japan") have jointly developed and will provide a "one-stop service for implementing autonomous driving."

Currently, Japan is facing many social issues related to transportation, such as reducing car accidents, dealing with driver shortages, securing means of transportation for the elderly, and reducing CO2 emissions. The use of autonomous driving technology is expected as a solution to solve many of these issues.

However, the implementation of autonomous driving requires a high level of expertise and knowledge of autonomous driving vehicle operation, as well as an expensive capital investment. Another issue is the complexity of the system for maintenance and transportation of autonomous driving vehicles in Japan, as well as liability in the event of an accident or other incident.
To address these issues, Macnica, Fuyo Lease, Fuyo Auto Lease (Fuyo Lease Group), and Sompo Japan have combined their respective strengths to jointly develop and offer the autonomous driving one-stop implementation service, which provides consistent support for everything from autonomous driving vehicle utilization proposals to implementation and operation.

Based on our knowledge of autonomous driving technology and experience in consulting, Macnica provides total support to our customers, from planning demonstration experiments to implementing autonomous driving and operations. Additionally, by leveraging our global network, we provide autonomous driving solutions tailored to customer requests and use cases.

The Fuyo Lease Group provides an autonomous driving demonstration test support service program ^{* 1}. And now, we will newly provide maintenance leasing for autonomous driving vehicles at the time of implementation by utilizing the business base of autonomous driving vehicle leasing and the maintenance shop network we own.

Sompo Japan is developing an insurtech solution "Level IV Discovery" ^{* 2} that supports the introduction of safe and secure autonomous driving. Through this collaboration, in addition to providing autonomous driving risk assessment for introduction areas and driving routes, we will also provide services necessary for implementing autonomous driving insurance plans (automobile insurance) and road assistance services.

By combining the strengths of each company in this way, we will provide one-stop support for the implementation of autonomous driving by local governments and companies.

Furthermore, in the future, Macnica, Fuyo Lease Group, and Sompo Japan will mutually share their respective networks of maintenance shops and towing companies and build a maintenance support system for autonomous driving service operations.
