Intel: Arria® 10 has a mode with 2 multipliers in 1 DSP block, is it possible to put 2 multiplications in 1 multiplier?

Category: DSP
Tools: Quartus® Prime
Device: Arria® 10

Normally, Quartus® Prime automatically packs at compile time when you run out of DSP blocks.
If you do it intentionally, by specifying that the 2 multiplier is assigned to 1DSP Block with the Logic Lock function, you have succeeded in fitting an independent 2 multiplier of 18x19 bits with 1DSP Block.
(Therefore, it is necessary to manage the placement of each block, so please be careful when using it.)
Please note that "multiply-sum and multiplication (18x19)" or "multiplication (27x27) and multiplication (18x19)" will not fit in one DSP.

See below for how to use the Logic Lock feature.
