Astra SL1680

The SL1680 incorporates a high-performance computing engine, including a quad-core Arm® Cortex-A73® 64-bit CPU subsystem, a multi-TOPS NPU, a highly efficient and feature-rich GPU for advanced graphics and AI acceleration, and multimedia accelerators for image signal processing (ISP), 4K video encoding/decoding, and audio.

Astra SL1640

The SL1640 is a cost- and power-optimized secure embedded SoC featuring high-performance computing engines including a quad-core Arm® Cortex-A55®, a 1.6+ TOPS NPU, an Imagination GE9920 GPU with 90 GFLOPS 16-bit compute, an Ultra HD video encode and decode pipeline, and an audio DSP.

Development environment

The Astra Machina Foundation Series Evaluation Kit enables easy and fast prototyping of the Synaptics SL Series of multimodal AI-native embedded IoT processors. The modular design supports interchangeable compute modules on a common I/O board, with daughter cards for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, debugging, and flexible I/O.
