SAN JOSE, Calif.: July​ ​31, 2024–Parade Technologies, Ltd., a leading supplier of high-speed interface, video display, and touch controller ICs, announces the launch of its PS8778 USB4 Gen3 x2/TBT4/DP 2.1 Alt Mode Linear Driver for NB/PC, mobile workstations and active cable solutions.

The PS8778 supports up to USB4 Gen3 x2 or 2x20Gbps, TBT4 2x20.625Gbps and DP2.1 UHBR20 Alt Mode. It also implements USB4, USB3.2 and DP 2.1a power management, including Modern Standby (<1mW) and DP 2.1a Advanced Link Power Management (ALPM). The power-saving design not only significantly extends the battery life of mobile devices, but also minimizes the power consumption of USB4 active cables. The PS8778 comes in a very small package, making it ideal for space-constrained designs.
