We will introduce the features of ON Semiconductor's new LDO product, NCP189.

  • Output voltage slew rate time selectable


The 0.5A LDO, NCP189, features low noise and high PSRR.
In addition, stable operation is possible with small ceramic capacitors of 4.7uF for the input and output capacitors.
The package is a very small 2mm x 2mm​ ​WDFNW-6.

It also details the selectable output voltage slew rate times.
The NCP189 has internal output voltage slew rate control.

After an enable event, approximately 85us of dead time is required for all internal LDO blocks to start up properly.
Once this time is over, the output voltage will begin to ramp from zero to the fixed output voltage and the amount of time required to settle to the output voltage depends on the voltage option and slew rate.
