Difference between RSL10 and RSL15

Arm® Cortex®-M3 ⇒ Arm® Cortex®-M33

The RSL15 is equipped with Arm® Cortex®-M33. By installing Trust Zone, Cryptocell-312 and Secure Boot ROM, the functions to protect the data inside the IC have increased. It is a product for IoT and has an environment where safe software can be implemented.

In addition, RSL10 was equipped with LPDSP32, but with RSL15, the use of Arm® Cortex®-M33 enabled ARM to perform FPU and DSP processing, so RSL15 does not have LPDSP32.

Long range

Since it supports LE Coded PHY from RSL15, it supports long distance communication (long range). By lowering the data rate, it corresponds to specifications that extend the communication distance by about four times.

Localization Angle of Arrival (AoA) and Angle of Departure (AoD)

It becomes a function to measure the position.
The RSL15 is equipped with a function that can measure the Angle of Arrival (AoA) and Angle of Departure (AoD) to facilitate localization.

ULP Data Acquisition system

It becomes a low-power data acquisition system.
The RSL15 is equipped with a function that enables data acquisition even in sleep mode.

Low power consumption

The RSL15 is certified by the Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium (EEMBC), which verifies energy efficiency. EEMBC (Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium) is a non-profit industry group established in 1997 that promotes the standardization of benchmarks for embedded systems. EEMBC's ULPMark(TM)-CoreMark benchmark program measures the operational energy efficiency of microcontrollers used in embedded systems.

The RSL15 leads the industry with a "Performance" score of 60.5.

In addition, in the ULPMark(TM)-CoreProfile benchmark, which measures the efficiency of a microcomputer's sleep mode and active mode combined, ONSEMI's conventional product "RSL10" and new product "RSL15" are the only MCUs with over 1000 points. and maintain their top two positions.
