The very low quiescent current of 1uA makes it ideal for battery powered applications.
The figure below is a graph showing the change in quiescent current with respect to input voltage. (Vout=3.3V, Iout=0mA.)
It can be seen that it always maintains a very low quiescent current even when the input voltage changes.


Another advantage of the NCP730 is its fast transient response.
The figure below shows the output voltage waveform when the load current Iout is varied from 1mA to 150mA at an output voltage of 3.3V.

The value of the output capacitor is as small as 1uF, but the voltage fluctuation is within a very small range of several tens of mV to 100mV.
Therefore, it can be supplied to loads that require strict voltage accuracy while current changes due to the load.
