With the advancement of IoT technology, the proliferation of devices equipped with data communication capabilities is rapidly increasing.
In particular, security equipment, industrial sensors, and various IoT devices often require long-term operation using primary batteries, making low power consumption a crucial issue in order to reduce the frequency of equipment maintenance.
Furthermore, as wireless sensor network (WSN) devices expand communication range and enhance functionality, they also require power supply performance capable of handling increased current during communication.
This product is a step-down DC/DC switching regulator developed to meet these market needs, achieving both ultra-low power consumption and high current handling capabilities.

    This significantly reduces the self-consumption current during sleep mode, contributing to extended battery life in IoT devices and sensor devices with long standby times.

  • Low ripple voltage and excellent load transient response characteristics

    The ripple voltage is low, typically 10mVpp (I OUT = 500mA), and the fast load transient response suppresses power supply fluctuations during data communication, contributing to a reduction in transfer errors.

  • High-efficiency operation over a wide range through automatic switching control of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) / PFM (Pulse Frequency Modulation).

    It automatically switches from PFM under light load conditions to PWM when the load current increases, maintaining high efficiency of over 80% even in the light load range of 1 to 10µA, and supporting output currents up to 1A.

  • Shutdown function and auto-discharge support

    Shutdown control is possible via the EN terminal, and two types are available depending on whether or not an auto-discharge function is included.

  • -Uses an ultra-compact WLCSP package

Features

Industry-leading low power consumption and high-efficiency operation from light to heavy loads.

This product achieves ultra-low current consumption Iq = 85nA (1/3 the Company conventional products). Furthermore, it is equipped with an automatic PWM/PFM switching mode, which automatically switches to the optimal operation according to the output current, maintaining high power conversion efficiency from light load to heavy load.
Furthermore, while maintaining the same high efficiency under heavy load conditions as conventional products, it achieves an efficiency of over 80% even in the light load range (I OUT = 1-10µA) equivalent to standby mode, thus achieving high efficiency across the entire load range.
This contributes to extending battery life in IoT devices that operate intermittently, repeatedly switching between on (ON) and standby (OFF).

Stable power supply quality with low ripple voltage and fast load transient response.

This product achieves a low ripple voltage characteristic of approximately 10mVpp (I OUT = 500mA), which is difficult to achieve in conjunction with low power consumption.
Furthermore, the load transient response characteristics have also been improved, reducing the voltage drop to less than half compared to conventional products.
This enables stable power supply even in noise-sensitive systems such as wireless communication devices and sensor equipment.
