In recent years, demand for in-vehicle camera modules has been increasing as they are used for a variety of applications inside the vehicle, including driver monitoring, rear seat detection, and gesture operation.
These modules are required to be installed in limited spaces such as ceilings, mirrors, and consoles, so there is a strong demand for them to be small and thin.
To address this issue, this product integrates four regulators into a single package and also includes a standalone sequence setting function and power good function (no need for a reset IC), thereby reducing the number of peripheral components and saving space on the board.
The four regulators built into this product cover a wide range of specifications required for camera modules.
・ Ch.1: Medium voltage (operating voltage: maximum 20V), output current 1.2A, synchronous buck regulator
・ Ch.2: Low voltage (operating voltage: maximum 5.5V), output current 1.0A, synchronous buck regulator
・ Ch.3: Low voltage (operating voltage: maximum 5.5V), selectable regulator (output current 1.0A synchronous buck regulator or output current 0.2A LDO)
・ Ch.4: Low voltage (operating voltage: maximum 5.5V), output current 0.2A LDO (can also operate as HS-SWITCH if necessary)
It also features anti-phase control that shifts the switching phase of channels 2 and 3 based on channel 1, and a spread spectrum function that disperses noise.
This effectively suppresses noise, contributing to improved image quality and operational stability in camera modules.

Features
Power supply optimized for automotive camera modules integrated into a single package
It is possible to supply four power supplies required for the CMOS sensor and peripheral control in a single package. LDO output can be selected for blocks that require low noise, stabilizing the image quality and signal quality of the camera module and achieving higher resolution and more reliable operation.
Significantly improved ease of use compared to the previous model "NJW4750"
The step-down regulator on Channel 1 has been changed from the diode rectification type in the previous NJW4750 to the synchronous rectification type in the NP8700, reducing the number of components. Furthermore, the output current specifications have been revised to enable support for a wider range of applications.
In addition, the spread spectrum function improves EMI performance and the power-down sequence can be set, further enhancing design flexibility and ease of use.
