The MUSES8921 is a standard J-FET input model in the MUSES series that brings together Nisshinbo Micro Devices' operational amplifier design technology and experience spanning approximately 50 years, and aims to reproduce the original sound as faithfully as possible.
We have adopted analog technology that pursues the reproduction of delicate sounds, from musical nuances and atmospherics to the expression of silence.
Rather than focusing solely on numerical performance, we conducted thorough auditory evaluations of sound quality to achieve ideal performance that meets the expectations of true sound lovers.
The main features are as follows:
Input equivalent noise voltage (noise characteristics): 8.0nV/√Hz typ (at f=1kHz)
Gain bandwidth product: 11.0MHz typ
Total harmonic distortion: 0.0004% typ
- High slew rate: 25V/μs typ
- Low input bias current: 5 pA typ
These characteristics make it ideal for use in a wide range of high-quality audio equipment, including audio preamplifiers, reference amplifiers, active filters, line amplifiers, and current-to-voltage conversion amplifiers.
"MUSES" is a brand of audio semiconductor devices that pursues high sound quality, and is a unique product created based on the following concepts.
1. Pursuit of high-quality sound
2. Pursuit of sound that is faithful to the original without coloration, exaggeration, or loss
3. The pursuit of sound that resonates with the senses, something that cannot be expressed numerically

Features
As a MUSES standard model J-FET input type, pursuing high sound quality
Based on the "MUSES8920/A", which has received high praise for its sound quality, this model applies the high-quality sound technology cultivated during the development process of the MUSES flagship model.
We have achieved improved sound quality by reviewing the design of the signal and power supply paths and thoroughly optimizing the element placement.
Optimal audio characteristics for current-to-voltage conversion amplifiers
In addition to low noise, low distortion, and a high slew rate, the low input bias current characteristic of the J-FET input allows it to demonstrate excellent performance when used as a current-to-voltage conversion amplifier.
Equipped with a small, high heat dissipation package (DFN)
Uses a small DFN package that allows mounting in limited spaces.
This not only allows for the miniaturization of devices and improves design freedom, but also supports highly reliable designs by maintaining stable operation even at high output due to its excellent heat dissipation performance.
