Release of the 60GHz millimeter wave distance measurement sensor "NJF4071 series" with narrow beam angle and 1cm resolution
"NJF4071" is a distance measurement sensor that uses 60 GHz millimeter wave radar technology.
Nisshinbo Micro Devices' sensor module "NJR4652", which combines a unique signal processing technology with a narrow-angle horn antenna to measure the distance to an object up to 30 m away in 1 cm increments. The narrow beam width makes it less susceptible to surrounding interference, making it possible to accurately capture the object being measured. A UART interface is standard equipment, making it easy to connect to various embedded systems.
Furthermore, thanks to its low current consumption design, it can also be used in systems that use solar batteries, making it suitable for applications with limited power sources.

Advantages of utilization
The NJF4071 is capable of stable measurements even in rainy, foggy, or nighttime environments. This makes it ideal for measuring water levels in rivers and sewers where there is a risk of flooding.
Conventional ultrasonic water level sensors have the problem of performance degradation due to the adhesion of dirt, debris, and spider webs. This product uses a radio wave method, so it is less susceptible to these effects and reduces the effort required for regular cleaning and maintenance.
