Industry-leading isolation: Distribution of samples of absorption-type SPDT switch "NT1819" for 5G base stations begins
5G services have been launched in an effort to realize a smart society. This will enable high-speed, low-latency, large-volume data communications, and is beginning to bring about major changes to our lives and industries.
5G base stations have many antennas, each of which transmits strong radio waves. To prevent mutual interference between radio waves, the distortion compensation circuit of the transmit amplifier requires a switch with extremely high isolation and a 50 Ω termination function at the Off terminal.
Leveraging RF device technology accumulated over many years, the NT1819 achieves high isolation of over 60 dB in the sub-6 band used by 5G, making it possible to reduce interference between adjacent elements.
In addition, the built-in 50 Ω termination function prevents impedance mismatch. These characteristics and functions improve the stability of 5G communication networks and can be used for a wide range of applications.
Package: QFN3030-16-NA
Features
High Isolation
With high isolation of over 60 dB, it is ideal for aggregating DPD *1 signals at 5G base stations. Since the number of DPD terminals on RFICs for 5G base stations is limited, it is necessary to use a switch to aggregate signals.
In order to prevent deterioration of distortion characteristics due to influences from adjacent blocks, high isolation has been achieved not only between PC and P1/P2, but also between P1 and P2.
*1 Digital Pre-Distortion/distortion compensation
Built-in 50 Ω absorptive termination
By using an absorption type with a 50 Ω termination, the impedance can always be kept at 50 Ω whether the switch is on or off, contributing to stable operation of the circuit.
7.125GHz compatible
In addition to the main 5G frequency bands of 3.3 to 5.0 GHz (n77, n78, n79), the addition of 6.425 to 7.125 GHz (n104) is being considered. The 5.9 to 7.125 GHz band is also used for WiFi and communications using unlicensed bands in the United States.
This product supports up to 7.125GHz, so it can be used with communication methods that use high bandwidth such as the n104 band.
Use case: 5G base station RF block diagram and port-to-port isolation
