Intel Arria series FPGAs and SoCs are FPGAs that offer optimal performance and power efficiency in the midrange.

The performance of the high-end Stratix® series from a decade ago has been reduced by using the latest technology to reduce power consumption and unit price.

Intel Arria Series Features

The Intel Arria series is a middle ground in performance and size between the Intel Cyclone® series and the Intel Stratix series.
The Intel Arria 10 device family currently in production has three variants and features:

Up to 1150K logic element scale
Up to 53Mb of embedded memory
Low power transceiver supporting 25.78 Gbps
PCI Express (PCIe) circuit Gen1,Gen2,Gen3
Dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor and subsystem
Up to 1.5 TFLOPs of performance in the industry's first hard floating point DSP block

 

Intel Arria Series History

The Intel Arria series releases a new family every few years.

In general, newer products have higher performance, lower power consumption, and lower unit prices for the same circuit size, but conversely older products have more pins for the same size.
