How cascode connections ease the challenges of using SiC JFETs

This application note describes the use of JFETs in a cascode connection, taking advantage of the inherent diode and drive voltage of standard low-voltage MOSFETs to solve both of these problems, and also discusses the general robustness of SiC JFETs in a cascode connection with respect to short circuit and avalanche conditions.
