This time, for those who are looking for a product to use for optical transceiver testing, we will introduce a test configuration from SFP+ (10Gbps) to QSFP28 (100Gbps) using MultiLane products.
Typical optical transceiver test configuration
Optical transceiver testing requires the following items such as BERT (Bit Error Rate Tester) and DSO (Digital Sampling Oscilloscope).

This section introduces the configuration for evaluating transmission path characteristics and optical transceiver characteristics.
1. Evaluation of transmission path characteristics
Waveform and error rate measurements with reduced characteristic loss can be performed by using HCB in combination with DSO/BERT on high-speed signal transmission paths where signals are reflected by providing measurement probe points. Therefore, accurate evaluation of transmission path characteristics is possible. It can also be used as an interface converter for a DUT with an SFP cage mounted.

2. Optical Transceiver Characterization
Using the HCB board for compliance testing of optical transceivers, it is possible to perform measurements in an optimized evaluation environment. Transceiver characteristics can be easily evaluated without high-speed circuit design and development experience.

Host Compliance Board

Loopback Module
BER can be checked for each port by generating a PRBS signal or arbitrary signal on the customer's board and looping it back at the module port. We have a lineup of CFP, CFP2, CFP4, CFP8, SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP+, QSFP28, and QSFP-DD types, and can operate with functions that comply with each MSA.
