This video (4:15) introduces the "Overview" of Intel® Agilex™ FPGAs.

Video overview

Intel® Agilex™ FPGA Features

In today's data-centric world, the need to process, store, and transfer data is exploding, and Agilex™ FPGAs offer industry-leading capabilities in each. First, for data processing, the improved 2nd generation Hyperflex architecture delivers up to 50% more performance or up to 40% less power consumption than previous generation FPGAs. Enhancements to the DSP block architecture add new number formats to better support AI applications and deliver up to 40 TFLOPS of floating point performance.

Second, for data storage, it supports state-of-the-art memory with DDR5, high-bandwidth memory, HBM2e, and Intel® Optane™ persistent memory. And for data transfer, it supports coherent connections to Xeon ® processors, PCIe Gen5, and provides maximum bandwidth for processor communication. For single transceivers, Agilex™ FPGAs support transceiver data rates of up to 116Gbbs per transceiver.

Intel® Agilex™ FPGA Series

There are currently three variants of the Agilex™ FPGA series.

The F-series targets a wide range of general-purpose FPGA applications. Choose from PAM4 transceivers up to 58 Gbps, PCI Express Gen4 support, and an optional quad-core Arm Cortex A53 processor.

The I-series is an interface-enhanced variety that supports high-speed transceivers, PAM4, PCIe Gen5 and CXL up to 116Gbps. All I-series are equipped with quad-core Arm Cortex A53 processors.

Details of the M-series have yet to be announced, but are targeted at high-performance memory applications. Many devices will come with HBM and will also support DDR5 and Intel® Optane™ persistence memory.
