This has led to the adoption of CO2 sensors as ventilation indicators across a wide range of industries. Even after the corona convergence, ventilation will become common sense. It is also expected to be used in new fields. For example, in the agricultural field, measuring the CO2 concentration can be used to visualize the rate of photosynthesis and optimize crop management. increase. Wouldn't it be nice to have some kind of feedback instead of just being able to see it?

What we introduce this time is an IoT solution using Infineon's MCU + sensor.

Operation overview

Measurement by temperature, CO2 sensor and LINE message transmission through IoT

<Operation ① >
Room temperature and CO2 are detected and displayed on the 7SEGLED. Therefore, when the CO2 concentration is 0-500ppm, the LED lights blue, and when it is 501-1000ppm, the LED lights yellow.

<Action ②>

If the CO2 concentration in the room is as high as 1001ppm, the LED will turn red. Also, at that time, the MCU will connect to Wi-Fi and connect to an APP called IFTTT. Therefore, IFTTT will send a message to your LINE to encourage you to ventilate your room.


*It is said that if the CO2 concentration exceeds 1000ppm, symptoms such as fatigue, headache, and dizziness will appear. Therefore, the threshold is set at 1000ppm.

  • <First stage PSoC®62S2CY8CKIT-062S2-43012>

Become an MCU. Infineon's PSoC® 6 controls each sensor and module.

Wi-Fi connection by IoT solution is performed by CY8CKIT-062S2-43012 equipped with CYW43012.

  • <Second stage 5VLDO, USB socket for patrol lamp>

Infineon's regulator TLS850B0TBV50 realizes the 5V required for the USB socket for the patrol lamp and the 3-color LED.

  • <3rd row each sensor + display LED>

A 7-segment LED is installed to display the temperature, CO2 sensor and the measured value. In addition, a three-color LED that emits a corresponding color depending on the CO2 concentration is also installed.
