The CoolMOS™ CFD7A series is fully compatible with system voltages up to 475V DC. Efficiency levels are increased by using a Kelvin source, achieving efficiencies up to 98.4%. With a fast body diode and a wide range of products in through-hole and SMD packages, the CFD7A devices are well suited for PFC and DC-DC stages. In this product family, we have succeeded in increasing the switching frequency while reducing the gate loss. This allows for higher power density and, as a result, more compact designs. In addition, the new CoolMOS™ technology platform is designed to meet the needs of the harsh environment in which automotive products are found, including cosmic radiation resistance and design robustness. We started working on cosmic radiation from the beginning of the development stage, and the results have been proven by experimental results.

What is the CoolMOS™ MOSFET CFD7A series?
Taking efficiency to a higher level, CoolMOS™ CFD7A offers improved hard and resonant switching topologies, especially under light load conditions. Achieving the lowest gate charge of any previous generation device allows operation at higher switching frequencies while reducing gate losses.This promising combination allows the CFD7A to reduce system weight. It is one of the core success factors in reducing weight, taking up less space and enabling more compact designs.
