In recent years, facial recognition systems have become popular as an authentication method with high security because they use an individual's face for authentication, and these systems can be divided into the following two main issues (*issues).

・Completed devices such as Android devices: (*Customization is not possible because the product is a completed product.)

・Systems that require large-scale system integration (SI): (*Costs are high due to large scale)

Cyberlink FaceMe® Security, which we are introducing today, is a packaged product that uses an IP camera, but it also allows you to customize the facial recognition system using a web browser.

Here we will introduce a case study using the same system, including a demonstration of real-time notification of the results of recognizing and authenticating a person based on registered information.

[Demo conditions]

・Real-time notification of three categories of registration (VIP, Blocklist, unregistered users)

・Using “FaceMe® Security” and “Node-RED”

Recognize the face of the person in the image, the patrol lights are turned on depending on the registration status (“VIP” or “unregistered person”)letDeIt's Mo. The code displayed in the middle shows the lighting color command sent to the patrol light according to the group_id value that indicates the registration status.

Usage scene

This demo introduces suspicious person detection as an example, but by devising ways to use the recognized data such as store visitors, company attendance, entering and exiting nursing care facilities, etc., it can be used for crime prevention and marketing. Is possible.

Developer API for “FaceMe® Security”

FaceMe® Security is compatible with major VMS (Video Management Systems) such as Milestone, Network Optix Nx Witness, and VIVOTEK VAST2, and has an API for real-time notifications.

Now, I will introduce the demonstration along the main flow.

①Event notification API settings

Specify port 1880, which is the default for Node-RED on the local host.

② Setting and customizing message notifications

– Notification messages will be in JSON format (see below).

– You can receive FaceMe Security notification messages by adding an http in node in Node-RED.

Notification message when camera is detected/recognized

You can see JSON notification messages in Node-Red's debug messages

③ External collaboration: Message reception settings for TEAMS

– Format the TEAMS message format to “text:{text data}” and specify the TEAMS Incoming webhook URL in the http request node.

– When the camera recognizes a face, a message will be sent to TEAMS in real time.
