The total data capacity that can be stored is unlimited. All data can be stored in the cloud and securely shared internally and externally.

File sharing is done by "shared link" or "folder sharing". In the unlikely event that you accidentally share the link, you can rest assured that you will not be able to access it immediately by disabling the link. You can also check the access status of the shared partner (collaborator).

The "preview function" that allows you to view files without downloading them supports over 130 file formats. There is no software for browsing, and you can avoid the trouble of moving data to the terminal.

Communicate seamlessly with collaborators with the "comment posting function" and "collaborative editing function" on files.

You can reduce the time required for searching with the advanced search function that targets the file text and the metadata addition function.

Features of Box (2) Automatic and reliable version control. Undo changes with one click

If you upload a file with the same name to "Box", version control will be performed automatically. Even if you accidentally overwrite and save, you can return to the previous version with one click. The maximum number of versions that can be managed can also be set to unlimited (separate Governance option required). Troubles such as "I accidentally overwritten and saved" and "I lost track of which version is the latest version" are eliminated.

Also, even if your computer is infected with ransomware, you can restore your files to their pre-infection state. It is also effective as a preparation for emergencies because it can minimize the impact on business.

Features of Box (3) Logs are saved for 7 years. Auditable security features

Access logs are stored for 7 years and can be used as an audit trail. Since "access statistics" and "user activity" can be displayed and downloaded as needed, it is possible to save labor for auditing.

With 7 levels of access control, you can appropriately assign user access rights that match the actual business situation, such as "view only" and "cannot delete", to each file or folder.

It is equipped with a wealth of security features that support auditing, such as a "collaboration whitelist" that limits file sharing partners, and a "retention policy" that forcibly applies a file retention period.

With the optional function "Box Zones" that allows you to specify the region of the data center, it is also possible to limit the data storage destination to Japan. There is also a multi-zones function that allows you to specify storage areas on a user-by-user basis, making it possible to support global companies with multiple locations overseas. It can also be used as a data storage location that meets the requirements of GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation).
