Macnica Receives "Outstanding Activity Awards" Simultaneously for Three Standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO/IEC 27001 – Recognized for Leveraging the Framework Cultivated with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 to Rapidly Expand the Scope of ISO/IEC 27001 Certification to the Entire Company in Japan –

Macnica (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara, hereinafter referred to as Macnica) announced today that it has received the "Outstanding Activity Award*" for three standards simultaneously in the renewal audits for ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), and the renewal/change audit for ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security Management⁾, conducted by the Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA).

At Macnica, we are strengthening our business foundation by utilizing management systems centered on ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and are developing mechanisms to promote systematic operations and improve customer satisfaction. Specifically, we conduct quarterly "departmental management reviews" centered on ISO promotion committees in each department to continuously check business challenges and improvement status, and the ISO secretariat compiles these and provides feedback to the management responsible for the ISO management system through a "company-wide management review." By organizing and sharing this information across departments, we are able to connect individual departmental improvement activities to company-wide organizational improvement. By utilizing this to improve management and business activities, we are promoting continuous improvement of business quality and strengthening of organizational capabilities.
Furthermore, in 2025, the scope of ISO/IEC 27001 certification, the international standard for ISMS (Information Security Management System), which had previously been obtained and operated by the Cybersecurity Business Division and related divisions (approximately 800 people), was expanded in a short period of about six months to include the entire domestic company (approximately 3,600 people), including the semiconductor business and CPS solutions business, in addition to the former divisions. In recent years, as cyberattacks have become more sophisticated and complex, the importance of information security measures has increased even further. With the aim of strengthening information security management, including the supply chain areas of the semiconductor business and CPS solutions business, and providing safer and more secure services to customers and partner companies, the scope of ISO/IEC 27001 certification was expanded to the entire domestic company. In this expansion of certification scope, we utilized the promotion framework cultivated through the operation of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, in which ISO promotion committee members, internal auditors, and the ISO secretariat in each division work together. As a result, we were able to expand the scope of certification in a short period of time.

These efforts were highly praised by JQA, leading to the awarding of the "Outstanding Activity Award" for three standards simultaneously.
