A prelude to the Yokohama Green Expo! The permanent museum theater "null²ⁿ (Null Nexus)" will have its grand opening on October 14th - General ticket sales start today!

Sustainable Pavilion 2025 Inc., Computer and Nature Association, MITSUBISHI ESTATE Co., Ltd., and Macnica MITSUBISHI ESTATE Co., Ltd. announced today, July 14, 2026 (Tuesday), that they will be grand opening the permanent museum theater "null²ⁿ (Null Nexus)" on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, on the 5th floor of the Yokohama Landmark Tower Landmark Plaza, operated by Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. They also announced that general ticket sales to the world have begun as of the same day.
This announcement was made on the main stage of "WebX 2026" by media artist Yoichi Ochiai and Norikazu Miyagi (Macnica) of the Sustainable Pavilion 2025. It was also announced that the concept and technology of "null²ⁿ (Null Nexus)" will be carried over to the Life Sculpture Pavilion "null⁴ (Tetranull)" which is scheduled to be unveiled at the Yokohama Green Expo (GREEN×EXPO 2027) (organized by the International Horticultural Exposition 2027), which will open in March 2027.

The worldview of "Computational Nature (Digital Nature)" advocated by Yoichi Ochiai will be unfolded at two locations: "null²ⁿ (Null Nexus)" in Yokohama Landmark Tower and "null⁴ (Tetra Null)" in Yokohama Green Expo. An urban exploration ecosystem that will encompass the entire city of Yokohama begins here.

■ First installment: "null²ⁿ (Null Nexus)" Scheduled to open on October 14th

—The world's largest LED theater opens in Yokohama Landmark Tower
"null²ⁿ (Null Nexus)" is a permanent museum theater produced by Yoichi Ochiai, following "null²" at the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
The highlight of the facility will be the LED theater where visitors can experience an infinitely expanding world of mirrors. While the LED theater at the Osaka-Kansai Expo "null²" was a single room, "null²ⁿ (Null Nexus)" will have two theater rooms, inheriting and expanding the experience from "null²," and will be reborn as a permanent facility in Yokohama Landmark Tower in 2026.
Through the dedicated smartphone app "Mirrored Body®," you can have a digital avatar of yourself in the digital world, implementing a system that connects real-world experiences with virtual space. The presentation changes organically in real time according to visitor data, and you can interact with your avatar. Under the worldview of "Computational Nature (Digital Nature)," enjoy a completely new immersive experience where you become part of the art in a space where the boundaries between technology and humanity dissolve. Linkage to Yokohama Green Expo (GREEN×EXPO 2027) and the "Computational Nature Experience Ecosystem"
The enthusiasm and data generated at "null²ⁿ (Null Nexus)" will be seamlessly transferred to "null⁴ (Tetranull)," which is scheduled to be unveiled at Yokohama Green Expo (GREEN×EXPO 2027) opening in March 2027. The plans for linking the two facilities will be announced sequentially in the future.
As the name "Nexus" suggests, this facility will function as a permanent hub connecting the Expo legacy with people, and we plan to hold regular events and community-building activities based in Yokohama in the future.
Furthermore, by linking with the "Mirrored Body®" app, an experiential ecosystem that spans urban and natural environments will be developed. Visitors who acquired their digital avatars at the Osaka-Kansai Expo can reunite with their avatars here in Yokohama.

* "null²" means
"null²" was a signature pavilion produced by Yoichi Ochiai for the Osaka-Kansai Expo (April 13th to October 13th, 2025). Based on the concept of fusing the Buddhist philosophy of "emptiness" with the computer science concept of "null," it was constructed as an interactive installation combining special mirror films, LEDs, and robotics. It embodied a worldview of "computational nature" where the digital and physical worlds merge through mirrored surfaces, and attracted approximately 600,000 visitors during the Expo.
Major awards and achievements:
- Ranked #1 in Casa BRUTUS's "Best Pavilions 20"
- Everyone's Architecture Awards 2026 Grand Prize (13,750 public votes - the most ever)
• Number of social media followers: Top among individual pavilions at the Expo.
- Crowdfunding project "Slippery Moving": Surpassed 100 million yen in 23 hours, ultimately raising approximately 281.5 million yen from 15,821 people.

■ Second installment: "null⁴ (Tetranull)" Yokohama Green Expo
"null⁴ (Tetranull)" is a new project that extends the "lineage of reflection" that began with "null²," the signature pavilion for the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo, to the Satoyama area of Yokohama Green Expo. null², which attracted attention as a mirrored building, will be reborn in 2027 as "null⁴," a life sculpture museum that reflects flowers, sky, forests, and people, after passing through the urban permanent base "null²ⁿ (Nurunuru Nexus)."
Four mirrored structures rotate, reflecting the surrounding landscape and displaying different appearances depending on the time of day and season. The artwork does not touch the landscape, but rather updates the very way we see the world through reflection; it is a garden, a sculpture, and a computer-generated nature experience space. The theme is "It is not form that is inherited, but karma." Rather than simply replicating null²'s form, the project inherits the philosophy of reflection, body, digital, and nature blending together, and expands from the city to the countryside, from architecture to life.

"The Expo has closed. But the Computational Nature Forest will not. Things with mass break, and things without mass are forgotten. "null²," which 600,000 people encountered in Osaka, relinquished its mass as the Expo ended, becoming materialized into memory and images. One year after its closing, that forest regains mass once again as "null²ⁿ (Null Nexus)" in the Yokohama Landmark Tower. Five experiential areas and a permanent museum theater at its heart, featuring two giant LEDs. The continuation of the story that couldn't be fully told in Osaka will be woven again in this forest rising vertically within the city.
