Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture and Macnica have signed a cooperation agreement on sustainable regional revitalization through digitalization-driven tourism promotion and other initiatives. This agreement aims to promote sustainable regional development through enhancing the value of local resources, improving resident services, and fostering human resources.

Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture (Mayor: Fumio Tanaka, hereinafter referred to as Hagi City) and Macnica (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara, hereinafter referred to as Macnica) announced today that they have concluded a cooperation agreement to promote the economic development of the local community, including tourism promotion, and further improve services for residents, through mutual cooperation and the promotion of digitalization in the region.

■Background/purpose
Hagi City is working to address local challenges and promote sustainable regional development, including enhancing the appeal of local resources, promoting tourism and exchange, and improving the quality of life (QOL) of its residents. Meanwhile, Macnica, with its core expertise in semiconductors, networks, and cybersecurity, has been supporting government agencies, local authorities, and companies in promoting digitalization and solving challenges by leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including AI and IoT, in the planning and implementation of digital transformation (DX).
Through this partnership agreement, we aim to combine Hagi City's expertise in regional issues and resources with Macnica 's cutting-edge DX and IT technologies, services, and consulting capabilities to create and develop a vibrant community where everyone can live fulfilling lives, and to further improve services for residents.
