Mitsui & Co. Secure Direction Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Daisuke Suzuki; hereinafter MBSD) will begin offering a "Data Security (DSPM) Implementation Support Service" on April 1st, which utilizes generative AI to enable inventory, visualization, and classification of data scattered throughout a company. This service utilizes "Data X-Ray," a DSPM solution from Ohalo Ltd. (Headquarters: London, UK; Representative Director and President: Kyle DuPont; hereinafter Ohalo), which possesses data classification technology utilizing generative AI, to comprehensively support the process from analyzing the customer's current situation and assisting in the formulation of regulations to inventorying, visualizing, and classifying the data held by the customer.
Furthermore, by automatically linking the classification results of confidential data identified by this service with Microsoft Purview, and combining it with MBSD's separately provided "Microsoft Purview Utilization Service," it is possible to smoothly connect to a "seamless integration from data-driven detection to response," such as alert monitoring and incident response for confidential data.
Macnica (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara, hereinafter referred to as Macnica), the sole distributor of Ohalo in Japan, will be responsible for the implementation design and post-implementation technical support of "Data X-Ray," and will provide end-to-end implementation and operation support in collaboration with MBSD, including the design and configuration of integration with Microsoft Purview.

[Background] Data management risks are increasing due to DX and cloud shift.
With the increasing use of SaaS, including cloud storage, confidential corporate data is now dispersed across various locations, from on-premises file servers to the cloud. In particular, unstructured data (such as Office files and text information), which is said to account for about 90% of corporate data, is easy to create and copy, but it creates the challenge of not being able to accurately grasp "where and what kind of confidential information is located within the company."
Against this backdrop, the concept of DSPM (Data Security Posture Management), which focuses on the data itself to assess risk, is attracting attention. However, the biggest bottleneck in its implementation has been data classification (data classification and labeling), which involves accurately identifying vast amounts of data.

This service provided by MBSD focuses on Data Classification, which is central to the effective implementation and operation of DSPM, and provides intensive support from the development of document management regulations and the organization and design of data classification categories to the visualization and automatic classification of confidential data.
1. Support for current situation analysis and policy formulation
• For customers considering implementing DSPM but lacking established regulations regarding information handling, we will conduct interviews to understand their data usage and current operational practices, and then support them in developing internal regulations such as document management regulations, which are prerequisites for DSPM implementation.
2. Support for creating classification categories and rules
• Based on existing internal regulations such as document management procedures, we support the creation of specific classification categories and rules, assuming data classification using Data X-Ray.
3. Data visualization, classification, and labeling integration
• It automatically searches (scans) data scattered throughout the company, from on-premises environments to the cloud, and inventories and visualizes all data, including confidential information.
• By automatically performing Data Classification (data classification and labeling) based on the created classification categories and rules on the inventoryed and visualized data, confidential information is automatically classified.
• Furthermore, we provide support for designing and configuring the system to integrate the obtained classification results with Microsoft Purview's sensitivity labels.

2. High-precision data discovery and classification using generative AI
Data X-Ray scans across multi-platform environments, including on-premises file servers and cloud storage (SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.), to visualize distributed unstructured data. Furthermore, in addition to conventional regular expressions and dictionary matching, it utilizes advanced contextual analysis by generative AI and OCR (optical character recognition) to achieve highly accurate automatic classification of information that was previously difficult to identify.

3. Support for integration with Microsoft Purview
This service provides support for designing and configuring the automatic integration of highly accurate classification results into Microsoft Purview's sensitivity labels. This allows customers to seamlessly transition their automatically classified confidential information to the next operational and monitoring phases.
