Macnica and ZDEP Advance launch "ROBODEV," an AI robot development support package

Macnica (headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter Macnica) and ZDEP Advance Inc. (headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Board Director: Iino Masamichi; hereinafter "ZDEP Advance") announced today the launch of "ROBODEV," an AI robot development support package jointly developed by the two companies.

In recent years, high-performance computing environments have become essential in the research and development of AI robots. These environments play a major role in making predictions under various conditions, particularly when running simulations, streamlining problem solving, and improving safety. However, building such environments requires advanced expertise, which is a major barrier for developers.

"ROBODEV" is equipped with the ROBODEV installer, which semi-automatically creates the environment required for AI robot development on a high-performance, verified GPU workstation provided by GDEP Advance, and can easily set up NVIDIA Isaac™ (NVIDIA Isaac Sim™, NVIDIA Isaac ROS) and NVIDIA Omniverse™, which are NVIDIA platforms for physical AI development. In addition, after setup, Macnica will provide hands-on support to help with the introduction of AI robot development, including lectures on NVIDIA Isaac and the basic operations of NVIDIA Isaac Sim.

"ROBODEV" provides support to resolve customers' "challenges in environment construction" and enable rapid start of development. This is expected to accelerate AI development in the robotics field and shorten time to market.
Macnica and ZDEP Advance will continue to provide this service in the AI robot field to promote customers' AI development and support technological innovation.
