Macnica wins the Grand Prize at the Career Ownership Management Awards 2025 for the second consecutive year
Macnica (headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter referred to Macnica) announced today that it has won the Grand Prize (Large Companies Division) for the second consecutive year at the Career Ownership Management AWARD 2025* 1, and this year it has been selected in the Human Resources /HR Transformation Category * 2.
■Reasons for winning the award (Judges' comments)
This is a good example of practical career ownership management that combines the penetration of Our Group's Purpose with career support at a high level. It is groundbreaking that the company has gone beyond the traditional framework of general and general employees, presenting new job descriptions for all employees as "jobs that improve value" and "jobs that create change," and created an environment in which each employee can connect to their own growth and the realization of their vision.
In addition to revamping the personnel system, the company has established a new human resources development system called "MAC University" for all levels, which organically links systems and training. The barriers to career change have been lowered, and employees are increasingly taking on different job types, proving the effectiveness of the system reforms. The significant increase in the penetration of Our Group's Purpose in employee surveys is also evidence that the transformation is taking root as a culture. Furthermore, structural reforms such as reviews of compensation and the retirement age system for job titles are also worthy of praise for being in line with employees' will to take on challenges. As part of the transformation process, various measures have been implemented with the participation of management, and the personnel system reform is the finishing touch, and the company can be said to be a leading example of career ownership management in that it is already in the established phase.

At Macnica, we pursue job satisfaction and growth for each and every employee, and aim to be a truly competitive company by unifying our vectors toward realizing our Our Group's Purpose and vision for the future. We have set the following two personnel policies to support employees' autonomous growth and career ownership.
<Reforming the personnel system to clarify the realization of Our Group's Purpose and autonomous growth>
In April 2024, we launched a personnel system linked to Our Group's Purpose, which we established in 2022. The new system is based on the concept of "strengthening capabilities" and accelerating "transformation" with the aim of realizing Our Group's Purpose.
Up until now, we have placed emphasis on problem-solving, strategic thinking, and actions that lead to results, but to realize Our Group's Purpose, in addition to these, the ability to adapt to change is essential. With the aim of encouraging autonomous growth into human resources who can "anticipate change," "respond to change," and "create change," we have abolished the general and general position system and changed the course system to "value-improvement positions" and "change-creation positions" based on the quality of work (mission), and have expanded the courses that allow human resources with specialized skills to thrive. In addition, in line with the expansion of the courses, we have redefined the job titles and prepared a list of the jobs necessary to realize our vision, making it easier for employees to imagine their own career path and the jobs they want to challenge. Furthermore, we are significantly reviewing the salary range in order to strengthen "high return," which is an important theme in increasing "employee happiness."

In line with realizing Our Group's Purpose and revamping our personnel system, we have reviewed all of the training programs that have been in place for over 10 years and upgraded them to a human resources development system that looks ahead to the next 10 years.
New training programs will be prepared for all levels so that each employee can feel a sense of accomplishment in their work and move on to the next stage, and all employees will take level-specific training over the three-year period from 2025 to 2027. Each training session will include a program for thinking about one's own career, providing everyone with an opportunity to face their own mission and aptitude, consider their future careers, and clarify their career plans.

Macnica will continue to promote Our Group's Purpose and human capital management based on the premise that "everything is about people, it begins and ends with people," and will strive to be a company where each and every employee can provide high value to society, based on the motto of its cherished corporate culture of "open, fair and simple" and "cheerful, fun and energetic."
