Macnica signs partnership agreement with Kakegawa City, Yasai Bus Shokudo, and Shimada Kakegawa Shinkin Bank - Utilizing frailty prevention service MAQUP to promote sustainable community co-creation -

Macnica (headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter Macnica) announced today that it has concluded a collaboration agreement with Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture (Mayor: Kubota Takashi; hereinafter "Kakegawa City"), Yasai Bus Shokudo Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture Representative Director and President: Kato Yuriko; hereinafter "Yasai Bus Shokudo"), and Shimada Kakegawa Shinkin Bank (head office: Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture; Chairman: Chiba Yasushi) to promote sustainable regional co-creation in Kakegawa City.

■ Purpose
Kakegawa City believes that in order for its citizens to live richer and happier lives, "it is necessary for all parties involved in urban development to be proactive and share ideas together," and is therefore promoting co-creation projects through the "Kakegawa SDGs Platform" with the theme of "creating a positive and sustainable community through proactive citizen collaboration."
With the aim of creating a town where "everyone can live, visit, stay, and work safely and with peace of mind," the four parties will use the "Vegetable Bus Restaurant" at the north exit of JR Kakegawa Station as their base to promote a wide range of regional revitalization measures, including the use of local ingredients, job creation, and environmental considerations.

(2) To create a bustling station area that is characteristic of Kakegawa and to have a major impact on the development of the local area.

(5) Rediscovering the appeal of local ingredients and supporting producers through local production and consumption

Macnica has a vision of becoming "Service & Solution Company that continues to create new value by connecting skills and knowledge from around the world to realize a prosperous future society," and as part of that initiative, it provides a frailty prevention service. This service, known as "MAQUP ^*," is a measurement service that provides a simple and objective assessment of the frailty and physical fitness level of elderly people based on evidence from epidemiological research by Professor Emeritus Kumagai of Kyushu University, and has been used by many local governments and sports gyms. Macnica will use this knowledge to work to promote the health of Kakegawa residents.

■ Future developments
The first Yasai Bus Shokudo will open on the first floor of SK Shinkin Plaza in May 2025. It is a new style of restaurant to support a sustainable local economy with the concept of "stepping towards tomorrow effortlessly, happily and deliciously". As a first initiative, Macnica and Yasai Bus Shokudo will be conducting the "MAQUP Frailty and Physical Fitness Test" in the restaurant from late May, which is the first step in maintaining and managing the health of seniors. We will provide food made with fresh local ingredients and health awareness in a familiar place for Kakegawa citizens, contributing to the revitalization of the area around Kakegawa Station and the health promotion of citizens.
