Macnica signs distributor agreement with Cisco Systems - Leveraging knowledge of Splunk products to promote corporate security, data and AI utilization -

Macnica (Head office: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter referred to as Macnica) announced today that it has concluded a domestic distributor agreement with Cisco Systems GK (Head office: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President and Representative Director and President: Hamada Yoshiyuki; hereinafter referred to as Cisco). As a result, Macnica will continue to provide Splunk, which it has accumulated knowledge about since 2009, and will provide optimal solutions tailored to customer needs, mainly in the fields of cybersecurity, data, and AI.
　
As cyber attacks have become more prevalent in recent years, Cisco is focusing on security and AI businesses in addition to its core network infrastructure. As part of this, Cisco acquired Splunk, which provides security and integrated log management solutions, last year to strengthen its security data lineup.

Macnica has been a primary distributor of Splunk since 2009, supporting customers' security operations. During that time, we have developed a deep understanding of the product and its utilization, as well as the Macnica Security Research Center's knowledge of threat analysis and security trends, and have provided many unique solutions that enable customers to immediately take advantage of the product.

With this agreement, Macnica will be able to offer Cisco's broad product portfolio, including security, data, and AI. The company will also develop proprietary applications and operational services to help promote the use of Cisco products, such as enabling logs from Cisco products to be viewed on Splunk when combined with Splunk solutions.
