Macnica collaborates with VAST Data to provide cutting-edge AI data platform to the Japanese market

Macnica (headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter referred to as Macnica) announced today that it has entered into a sales partnership agreement with VAST Data Inc. (headquarters: New York State, USA; CEO: Renen Hallak; hereinafter referred to as VAST Data), a company that provides a new data platform for AI infrastructure, to provide AI-optimized storage solutions to the Japanese market.

■Next-generation storage data platform for the AI era
In AI infrastructure, storage is becoming increasingly important, along with high-speed computing and high-speed networks. Multimodal LLM that handles images, videos, and text requires high-speed processing of exabytes of data, and traditional storage systems have presented performance challenges and complex operational management issues.

■ Future outlook
Macnica plans to add the VAST Data Platform to ^its AI TRY NOW PROGRAM. Customers will be able to test VAST Data's completely new storage system in the latest environment, including NVIDIA DGX™ infrastructure built with NVIDIA Hopper generation technology and the NVIDIA Spectrum™-X networking platform, before introducing it to their own company. (Scheduled to be available within 2024)
