Macnica begins selling "Swimlane Turbine," a solution that automates security operations ~ Supporting the streamlining of security operations through playbooks and case management using proprietary AI ~

Macnica (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter referred to as Macnica) announced today that it has signed a domestic distributorship agreement with Swimlane, Inc. (Headquarters: Colorado; CEO: James Brear; hereinafter referred to as Swimlane) and will begin handling the AI-based security automation platform "Swimlane Turbine." This agreement will enable the company to improve the efficiency of security operations to suit each company's needs.

■ Challenges and automation of security operations
As cyber attacks rapidly increase, companies need to take measures by introducing multiple security products. However, after the introduction, they face a wide range of challenges, such as "dealing with a large number of alerts with limited human resources," "siloization caused by using different products for each organization or department," and "human error due to manual work." One solution that can solve these challenges is SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response), which adapts to an organization's unique security requirements and operational processes and automates tasks that are usually done manually and take a lot of time. Recently, the functions of Playbooks* have been expanded to include low-code type and the use of AI, and SOAR is also growing into a next-generation security automation platform.

■The appeal of Swimlane, an independent security automation vendor
The security automation platform "Swimlane Turbine" is a standalone platform that can be integrated with any API, designed with interoperability in mind with other companies' products, and can be used in combination with products that have already been introduced. In addition, Swimlane's proprietary AI enables better decision-making by assisting in the creation of script code and summarizing cases.

① Streamline operations with alert triage using Playbooks
A low-code playbook is provided for SOCs, making it easy to import the IOC information required for triage. Info-level alerts and false positives that do not require a human response can be handled automatically, allowing you to focus on dealing with high-priority alerts that can only be handled by humans.

② By using connectors, data can be imported directly, and operation management can be handled in silos.
We have a wide range of connectors to bring data directly into your playbooks, making it easy to adapt to complex environments and integrate with siloed product tools.

3) Customize dashboards and cases to meet your requirements
It has a wide range of data fields and widgets, and the dashboards and cases are highly customizable, allowing you to flexibly respond to operational issues.

Commenting on the announcement, Swimlane CEO James Brear said:
"We are honored to partner with Macnica, a company recognized as a leader in the distribution of cutting-edge technology. Swimlane's mission is to strengthen and support security teams through security automation. Through this partnership, we will contribute to improving operations and increasing efficiency for security teams in Japan with Swimlane's automation platform."

Macnica will flexibly and openly collaborate with the various products it already handles to provide solutions that address the concerns of security teams.
