Macnica, Jikeikai, and Coop Sapporo sign comprehensive partnership agreement to utilize technology and share know-how to contribute to regional revitalization

The Consumer's Cooperative Union Co-op Sapporo ("Co-op Sapporo"), Macnica (" Macnica"), and the General Incorporated Association Jikei Kai ("Jikei Kai") signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement today, April 19 (Friday).

Macnica was founded in 1972 and is engaged in discovering, proposing, and implementing cutting-edge technologies to solve problems in various fields. Jikeikai was founded in 1961 and practices medical care and welfare that are closely tied to the community while utilizing cutting-edge technology. Coop Sapporo is supported by 2 million members and is engaged in various initiatives with the philosophy of "making living in Hokkaido a pride and joy." The three parties have signed a comprehensive partnership agreement to work together to address the issues of population decline and local economies due to the declining birthrate and aging population and depopulation that each region faces, by combining each other's industry knowledge and cutting-edge technology, and to create improvement activities and value from a new perspective, thereby solving the issues and contributing to regional revitalization in each region.

The collaboration will cover the following five points:

1) Promoting personnel exchanges Promoting new ideas and creativity through human resource exchanges across different industries
2. Exploring productivity improvements Leveraging the strengths of each organization to share and develop efficient business operations methods
3) Collaboration of know-how in school lunch business Sharing each company's know-how for providing high-quality, healthy meals to contribute to improving the health of the local community
④ Collaboration of know-how in health checkup business Raise the importance of preventive medicine to maintain and improve the health of local residents
⑤ Search for cutting-edge technology Experiencing the latest technologies such as AI and IoT, and using new discoveries to tackle local community issues

Macnica will search for and provide cutting-edge technology, accompany and support verification of collaborative activities, and provide overall facilitation in promoting collaboration. Jikeikai will provide know-how and a verification field in core businesses such as medical care, nursing care, and tourism, as well as shared businesses with Coop Sapporo, such as school lunches. Coop Sapporo will provide know-how and a verification field in core businesses such as retail, home delivery, and mutual aid, as well as shared businesses with Jikeikai, such as school lunches and health checkups. The three parties will work together to contribute to regional revitalization.
