Macnica Data Scientist Wins Gold Medal at World's Largest AI Competition - 6th Place Solo in "Linking Writing Processes to Writing Quality" -

Macnica (headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter referred to as Macnica) announced today that Macnica data scientist Igeta Kazutaka placed 6th (out of 1,877 teams) and won a gold medal in "Linking Writing Processes to Writing Quality" (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition"), one of the world's largest competitions hosted by Kaggle.

The competition was organized by Kaggle, a platform for people learning machine learning, and brought together data scientists from around the world to compete over the accuracy of predicting the quality of essays using keyboard and mouse activity logs.

Macnica has been working from an early stage on creating value through AI that utilizes sensor and cyber data, with cyber-physical systems (CPS) as its keyword. Macnica 's AI technology team utilizes the latest AI technology, including generative AI, and is constantly honing its technology to tackle a variety of use cases.

Regarding this award, Macnica data scientist Kazutaka Igata said the following:
