Macnica announces that we have provided SecurityScorecard's Security Ratings and Macnica's Attack Surface Management (ASM) service to Aika Kogyo Co., Ltd. today.

■Background
AICA Kogyo, which is actively expanding overseas, is switching to multi-layered defense and introducing NGAV and EDR, as well as conducting targeted email attack training, e-learning to raise security awareness, and providing information from all group personnel. We have implemented initiatives to strengthen security measures, such as sharing. We also want to make governance more effective than ever at our overseas group companies, so we have conducted a survey on our security initiatives once every six months, but we are not sure if the answers accurately reflect the situation at the head office. I couldn't shake the suspicion that there might be hidden problems that we weren't aware of. Therefore, we decided to conduct a third-party evaluation and introduced Security Ratings and ASM services as a method for doing so.

Security Ratings is a risk rating service that regularly visualizes and quantifies security risks for organizations such as group companies and business partners that may be targets of supply chain attacks. Aica Kogyo introduced Security Ratings because its products are well-known worldwide, it can cover all domestic and overseas group companies, and it can output reports in more than 10 languages.
Furthermore, in many cases, the marketing department is responsible for the websites owned by each group company, and in order to solve the problem that the information systems department cannot accurately grasp the security status of the websites, we are trying to solve the problem of We have also introduced an ASM service that can be discovered.

By using Security Ratings, AICA Kogyo is able to objectively visualize and quantify the results of group companies' efforts to strengthen security measures, and is able to list the status of each company, making comparisons easier. ■Future outlook
AICA Kogyo aims to further improve its security level as a group as part of the activities of the "AICA Group CSIRT." First, through continuous monitoring of the ASM service, we will work with the AICA Group CSIRT to respond to real-time alerts from Macnica about assets and security issues that change on a daily basis, prevent incidents by responding to them, and cover a wider range of problems. We expect synergistic effects by using Security Ratings, which have been set up, to evaluate security systems and measure the effectiveness of initiatives.
