Macnica (headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Kazumasa Hara; hereinafter "Macnica) today began sales in Japan of "Data X-Ray," an unstructured data visualization solution from Ohalo Ltd. (headquarters: London, UK; CEO: Kyle DuPont; hereinafter "Ohalo") ^*1.

■Background
Due to the increase in data volume due to the promotion of DX and the diversification of data storage methods due to the spread of cloud usage, it is becoming difficult to manage and protect data, but the risk of data leaks such as internal fraud and information leaks from cloud services is increasing every day. It is on the rise.
Among data, "unstructured data" such as files and emails accounts for more than 80% of all corporate data. In contrast to structured data, which is stored in databases and can only be accessed through specific applications, unstructured data can be easily created and moved by anyone, making it difficult to understand where sensitive data is located. This leads to the problem of not being able to ensure proper security for sensitive data that must be protected.

■Overview of Data X-Ray
Data X-Ray visualizes and protects files scattered across various data sources with the following features:

① Discovery of unknown data
By scanning multiple data storage environments (various SaaS/IaaS/on-premises file servers, etc.) at once and acquiring information on all files, security administrators can identify the existence of confidential data that they are not aware of. Previous products had various practical issues, such as the need to create complex regular expressions and dictionary data for data classification, and insufficient support for Japanese, but Data X-Ray 's AI Auto Classification function resolves these issues and allows data classification to be performed easily and with high accuracy. As before, classification using regular expressions and dictionary data is also possible.

③ Monitoring file activity
Monitor file activity, such as accessing and rewriting files containing sensitive data, and visualize data usage that violates security policies and compliance.
