Macnica launches sales of Smart Eye's driver monitoring system equipped with AI that detects early signs of drowsiness and distraction in real time - Contributing to a society with zero traffic accidents by detecting driver conditions and actions -

Macnica (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, President: Kazumasa Hara, hereinafter referred to as Macnica) is an after-sales service for vehicles developed by Smart Eye AB. (Headquarters: Sweden, CEO: Martin Krantz, hereinafter referred to as Smart Eye). We are pleased to announce that we have concluded a distributorship agreement in Japan for the driver monitoring system "AIS" (Applied AI System) for the market and will begin selling it.

Recently, efforts to create a ``society with zero traffic accidents'' have become active. In the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Basic Traffic Safety Plan <sup>* 1</sup>, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism states, ``1. Smart Eye's driver monitoring system "AIS," which Macnica will begin selling, is an in-car camera equipped with AI-based monitoring software that analyzes subtle changes in the driver's gaze, head movement, facial expressions, fatigue, and attention. This allows the system to detect early signs of drowsiness or distraction in real time, promptly notifying the driver, encouraging safe driving and preventing dangerous situations. The software used in this system has now been shipped in over one million units both in Japan and overseas.
