Macnica signs Japan's first primary agency agreement with Saviynt, a cloud-based IGA that strengthens risk management and governance of ID operation management ~Further accelerates zero trust by expanding coverage in the identity area~

Saviynt Macnica (President: California, Kazumasa Hara) is a total service and solution provider in semiconductors, networks, cybersecurity, and AI/ Macnica. We are pleased to announce that we have entered into an agency agreement with Saviynt, CEO: Amit Saha, to sell Saviynt. This will help resolve issues related to identity governance, which will become even more important in the future, and support the realization of more advanced corporate IT security based on zero trust.

In recent years, with the major changes in the external environment, there is a need to transform the security model from the conventional perimeter type to a zero trust model. Among them, identity has a role as a new boundary, and proper management of identity information is important. IGA (Identity Governance and Administration) is expected to become more and more necessary as a solution to streamline ID operation management and related operations from the perspective of risk management and governance enhancement.

Saviynt, which Macnica has started handling, has three characteristics in the IGA area.

1. Appropriate identity authorization based on segregation of duties and automation of operations
・Cooperate with personnel systems, etc., and based on user attributes (position, department, etc.) and duties, to each application
Grant appropriate minimum access privileges
・Simplify approval tasks by providing access request functions to employees and trend analysis
・Automate provisioning (and de-provisioning) for applications and SaaS,
Reduce operational costs for configuration changes

2. Real-time visualization of identity risk/compliance status
・Based on predefined policies, the access status and risks of applications and SaaS are clarified, and the degree of compliance with policies is visualized.
・Visualize the usage status of each identity and take inventory of authority violations by the segregation of duties analysis function

3. Management of identities given to third-party companies
・Similarly, the least privilege can be granted to third parties, and access can be visualized and controlled.
・All internal and external organizations can be centrally managed on a single platform, reducing operating costs
