Macnica collaborates with Nicemets to provide MAQUP, a frailty prevention service based on epidemiological research, and begin recruiting partners to provide exercise programs

Macnica President, a total service and solution provider in semiconductor, network, cyber security, and AI/IoT (headquartered in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan; : ; hereinafter ), in collaboration with NiceMetz, Inc. (headquartered in Fukuoka, Fukuoka: Akizo Kumagai; hereinafter "NiceMetz") to provide "MAQUP," a service for preventing frailty based on evidence from epidemiological studies. Japan has one of the longest life expectancies in the world, and by 2025, the number of elderly people aged 75 and over is expected to reach approximately 22 million (one in five) ^*1. However, healthy life expectancy ^*2 is about 10 years shorter than average life expectancy, and rising medical and nursing care costs, as well as the growing burden on the working generation, are social issues. Extending healthy life expectancy is important for the elderly to lead healthy and happy lives both physically and mentally. It is expected that early detection of the "frailty" state in which the body is beginning to weaken and continued appropriate exercise will return the patient to a state in which he or she can live an independent life again.

Macnica 's new frailty prevention service, "MAQUP," enables early detection of frailty by answering six questions online, and then, in collaboration with local exercise program partners, provides exercise programs aimed at maintaining health and improving frailty.
The program was developed by combining the evidence-based knowledge that Dr. Kumagai, President of NiceMets and Professor Emeritus of Kyushu University, has gained through his many years of epidemiological research, with Macnica 's know-how in data utilization and AI. The program aims to extend healthy lifespan by having participants continue a cycle of frailty measurement, appropriate exercise, and effectiveness measurement every three months.

・ Plan to provide free of charge via local governments

②Exercise program: Offered as an exercise class for frailty countermeasures with partners who provide exercise programs
・ Face-to-face exercise program: Scheduled to be on-site or remotely (using Zoom, etc.)
・Video program for voluntary training: To be prepared
・ Monitoring with activity meter: Feedback will be provided from activity level and sitting time
