Macnica confirmed on July 28 that an employee working at the Shin-Yokohama office (Shin-Yokohama, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture) was infected with COVID-19.

The employee developed a fever on July 27th, so on July 28th, he underwent a PCR test at a hospital and was confirmed to be positive. Before July 27th, July 26th was the last day that the employee came to work at the office. We have confirmed that there are no “close contacts” among employees and partner company employees, and that there are no problems with resuming work at the office. The employee is currently undergoing medical treatment under the guidance of the local public health center.

In order to ensure the safety of our business partners, employees, and cooperating company employees, we have taken measures to prevent infection, such as wearing COVID-19, disinfecting, ventilating, and ensuring social distance. In addition, from the perspective of safety and business continuity, we have taken measures such as restricting employees from coming to work by promoting telecommuting and staggered work hours.

We will continue to take these measures to prevent the spread of infection, so we appreciate your understanding.
