The First ARM Cortex-M Hands-on Workshop - For ARM Beginners -assumes that you have Simplicity Studio ver.4.x and MDK-ARM installed on your PC. We will also learn how to use the tools while using the EFM32GG starter kit, so it is necessary to have the EFM32GG library installed.
Please refer to the following document and check in advance whether the necessary setup is done.
