Silicon Labs CP210x: Windows7 gives error "Error Code 52" and device is not recognized. Please tell me what to do
When using a customized and digitally signed driver on a Windows 7 PC, error code 52 may be displayed when connecting the CP210x. The device manager shows a yellow "!" mark and the device is not loading properly.
This is due to a mismatch in the digital signature algorithm, where the driver binary uses SHA-2 and the catalog file (.cat) uses SHA-1.
