Silicon Labs EZR32LG/WG: I'm running out of RAM, is there a way to expand it?

The EZR32LG/WG has a built-in RAM of 32kB, but since it does not have an external memory interface (EBI, ExternalBus Interface), the RAM area cannot be expanded. However, depending on the usage of RAM, it may be possible to utilize external SRAM or external EEPROM that support serial interface.
For example, if you want to place the network routing table in RAM and high-speed access is not required, you can place it in RAM on the EZR32 or on external SRAM. may be fulfilled. Depending on the frequency of rewriting, EEPROM may be substituted. Microchip's 23K256 (32kB product) is one of the SRAMs compatible with the serial interface.
The advantage of the EZR32 is that the wireless IC and MCU are in one chip. However, EZR32 has a big advantage because it makes it easier to debug the control interface between the radio unit and the MCU.
