Silicon Labs EFM8/C8051: What is the debug/programming interface?

EFM8/C8051

A unique 2-wire serial interface called the C2 interface is used.
It consists of two pins, clock (C2CK) and data (C2D), and a total of three pins, including GND, can be used for debugging and programming. C2CK is a shared pin with reset pin (/RST or RSTb). The C2 interface specification can be found in AN127 "Flash Programming via the C2 Interface".
Most of the products use the C2 interface, but only some early products support JTAG.
