Silicon Labs EFM32: I get "No device selected." or "The selected device is not compatible with this operation." errors when trying to debug. Please tell me what to do.

It seems that the debug target MCU is not visible.
If you are using the starter kit, please check the following.

  • Make sure the power switch is set to DEBUG
  • Check if Debug Mode in Kit Manager is set to MCU
  • Please refer to another topic and try to erase (unlock) the contents of the flash.


For other than the starter kit, please refer to the points above and check if the settings are correct.
