Silicon Labs EFM32: I want to use the EFM32 at its maximum operating frequency, do I need an external clock?
EFx32
The maximum operating frequency is 48MHz for WG, GG, LG, 32MHz for G, TG, 25MHz for HG, and 24MHz for ZG. On the other hand, the maximum frequency of the internal oscillator is 28MHz for WG, GG, LG, G, TG, 24MHz for HG, and 21MHz for ZG.
If you want to use a higher frequency than the internal oscillator, please use an external clock.
