Silicon Labs CP210x: Is there a way to check/delete the COM numbers reserved by the CP210x?

CP21xx

The COM number is reserved when I connect the CP210x to the Windows OS, but in Device Manager I can only see the COM number of the currently connected device. Here's how to check the COM number in Device Manager without connecting the device.
1. Start a command prompt with administrator privileges. Enter cmd in the start menu search Box and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter to start it.
2. At the command prompt, type:

Article header cp210x%e3%81%8c%e4%ba%88%e7%b4%84%e3%81%97%e3%81%a6%e3%81%84%e3%82%8bcom%e7%95% aa%e5%8f%b7%e3%82%92%e7%a2%ba%e8%aa%8d%e3%83%bb%e5%89%8a%e9%99%a4%e3%81%99% e3%82%8b%e6%96%b9%e6%b3%95%e3%81%af%e3%81%82%e3%82%8a%e3%81%be%e3%81%9b%e3% 82%93%e3%81%8b%ef%bc%9f1 1

3. Device Manager starts up. Select "View" menu ⇒ "Show hidden menus". All devices that are not connected to the PC are also visible. If you want to delete an unnecessary COM number reservation, select it and right-click to delete it.
