NVIDIA Jetson TX2: I would like to connect a camera to Jetson TX2, but under what conditions can the camera be connected? Also, is MIPI the only connection method?

Jetson

Connectable cameras and connection methods

You can connect a USB camera or a MIPI-CSI compatible camera to Jetson TX2.

For the image sensor formats supported by Jetson TX2's MIPI-CSI, please refer to the following documents that can be downloaded from the Jetson Download Center.

・Jetson TX2 Module Data Sheet - 4.9.1 MIPI Camera Serial Interface (CSI)
・Jetson TX2 OEM Product Design Guide - 8.0 MIPI CSI (VIDEO INPUT)

Notes

When connecting an image sensor that outputs Raw data (so-called Bayer format) to MIPI-CSI, it is necessary to request the development and tuning of device drivers and software from the following NVIDIA certified camera partners. This is because Jetson TX2's ISP (lmage Signal Processor) module information has not been made public.

For device driver development for new cameras, download L4T Documentation from Jetson Download Center, unzip it, open the HTML document, and refer to Camera Development from the table of contents displayed on the left.
