Microchip PIC microcontroller: What is the difference between CCP and ECCP?

PIC microcomputer

The difference between CCP and ECCP installed in some PIC microcontrollers is described below.
ECCP is an abbreviation of Enhanced Capture/Compare/PWM, and the following functions can be realized compared to normal CCP.
It is an ideal peripheral for DC motor control.

  1. 2 or 4 outputs available (half-bridge control, full-bridge control supported)
  2. Selectable output polarity
  3. Equipped with dead band function
  4. Equipped with automatic shutdown and restart function
