Microchip PIC microcontroller: What is the difference between CCP and ECCP?
The difference between CCP and ECCP installed in some PIC microcontrollers is described below.
ECCP is an abbreviation of Enhanced Capture/Compare/PWM, and the following functions can be realized compared to normal CCP.
It is an ideal peripheral for DC motor control.
- 2 or 4 outputs available (half-bridge control, full-bridge control supported)
- Selectable output polarity
- Equipped with dead band function
- Equipped with automatic shutdown and restart function
